Star 88.3 radio station makes a mark here in our local community every day. We are so lucky to have a wholesome and uplifting radio station to listen to with our family(and sing with!). I am proud to say I listen to Star 88.3 every day – thank you Star for all you do!

Like all non-for-profit organizations, they rely on the financial support of their listeners and supporters(and the bigger picture is supporting this organization who is leading people to Jesus Christ). Read their mission statement here. In October they hosted a private banquet at Sweetwater sound here in Fort Wayne, IN.

This was a very special evening of dinner(guests were serenaded by The Jondo Trio), discussion and a silent auction.

Many local businesses donated services or an item for the silent auction – it is a win-win for everyone! Guests were enjoying mingling and bidding on all the wonderful auction items! Bidding wars – to benefit Star 88.3, which in turn, benefits the Fort Wayne community!

After dinner, many from the Star team took to the stage and spoke about the mission of Star 88.3 and also the future and impact of the station.

Tyler Boss and Shelby Lynn opened

Tim Dawson and Don Buettner also spoke.

Don spoke about Star’s listening coverage and upcoming  “spin off” genre options for Star listeners(like Gospel). Talking tech and gadget really got Don to “light up”!

General Manager, of Star 88.3, Melissa Montana spoke and shared her heart’s wish for the station and our community. She also asked a few guests to share their “Star Story” and how Star 88.3 has made an impact and touched their life – this was very touching.
