Blackhawk Ministries | Little Lights | Rise and Shine | October 2, 2022
Blackhawk Ministries has been my church for over 35 years! Many changes occur over the course of 35 years, and I am proud to say that Blackhawk has stayed true to our foundational beliefs, values and mission! Along with the people, pastors, programs and the seating changes, the KIDS program at Blackhawk has changed too – AND for THE BETTER! Since I have two kids heavily involved with Blackhawk Kids (formerly Children’s Ministry), I get a front row seat to all-things kids. Leah and her team are doing an amazing job partnering with parents to train up this next generation to be bold in their faith. Blackhawk Kids is always doing new and fun things to engage our kiddos to learn and grow closer to God! LITTLE LIGHTS is a group of k-4th graders who learn praise and worship songs and are meeting 1-2 per week to practice the lyrics and also the motions/dancing to the songs. They are led by 3 young adults who guide them in song and movement. They also spend time in prayer and discussion with the kiddos.

It’s been very exciting to have the Little Lights lead the “Rise and Shine” worship time with the large group of kids. I can’t wait for the Little Lights to perform on the “big stage” in the service in a few weeks and also Christmas Carols in the lobby! What a joy to hear the little voices worshiping Him and what a sweet sweet sound it must be to His ears!
